"As we expected, demand for the 12,000 additional SRO tickets was emormous," said director of ticket client relations Leo Carlin. "These tickets went even faster than our single-game sale. We appreciate our fans' passion and hope the additional 1,500 fans each game make Lincoln Financial Field that much louder for our opponents."

Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday via the Internet and through calling Ticketmaster directly. The phone lines and the web site were jammed as the fans rushed to purchase their seats.

Lincoln Financial Field now has a capacity of 69,000-plus for every Eagles game.
