Practice, Autograph Schedule!

August 5, 2005 | Last Updated: 8/4/05 4:57 PM ET | Comments (0)

Here is a list of news and notes regarding the Eagles 2005 Training Camp at Lehigh University, including practice and autograph schedule. Note that there are new policies regarding autographs this season.

Additional Amenities

The Philadelphia Eagles have added some new amenities to this year's training camp at Lehigh University in order to enhance the overall fan experience:

  • Two sets of bleachers, almost doubling the seating capacity
  • One additional handicap accessible area, increasing the total to three
  • Two concession stations, increasing the total to three
  • One beverage station, increasing the total to two
  • Additional bathroom locations
  • Additional full-time security for fan safety

    Operation Gratitude

The Eagles are teaming up with Chrysler-Jeep to support "Operation Gratitude," a non-profit organization that seeks to lift troops' morale, and bring a smile to their faces by sending care packages to service members overseas.

On Thursday and Friday, Aug. 11 and 12, collection bins will be available at training camp for fans to donate food, toiletries, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation for the troops.

    Autographs

    Autograph Policy

In an effort to ensure fan safety, the Eagles' autograph policy has changed.

The process will now ensure completely random selection of fans receiving the opportunity to be in line for the post-morning practice autograph session.

The policy is as follows: Numbered tickets will be handed out from 7 a.m. through 9 a.m. at the Welcome Tent to all fans wishing to potentially receive an autograph at that day's session.

At 9:30 a.m., a predetermined list of numbers will be posted at several locations around camp, detailing the ticket numbers that were randomly selected to receive autographs that day.

Those fans with tickets matching the numbers posted will be allowed in the autograph line.

The random nature of this process will afford fans arriving as late as 8:45 a.m. the same opportunity to get an autograph as those arriving earlier. This system will eliminate the need to arrive on campus before 7 a.m. in hopes of being first in line.

Lehigh police will continue to ensure that no fans will be allowed on campus prior to 6:30 a.m.

Additionally, there has also been a change to the autograph schedule itself. The new schedule is listed below:

Autograph sessions at training camp will continue through Saturday, Aug. 13. All sessions will be held in the autograph tent adjacent to the practice fields on Lehigh University's Goodman Campus. Autographs will begin shortly after the completion of the morning practice and last approximately 20 minutes.
