The 4-0 Eagles are now the only undefeated team in the NFC after a wild Sunday during which both Atlanta and Seattle were upset in home contests.
The Eagles hold a one-game lead in the loss column over the Giants in the NFC East.
Players have been off since the 19-9 win over Chicago and many scattered throughout the country to "get away from football," as head coach Andy Reid![]()
hoped they would do.
The coaching staff has been off since Wednesday and enjoyed its first long weekend since before training camp.
Next up for the Eagles is Carolina, which fell to 1-3 on Sunday with a 20-17 loss at Denver. Carolina has serious concerns at halfback. Stephen Davis, likely to play against the Eagles, has been out for three weeks with a knee injury. DeShaun Foster exited the Denver game on Sunday with a broken clavicle and is out for an indefinite period of time.
The focus for the Eagles will be on preparing for a full week of practice. The team is healthy and rested.
"It's good to be getting back to business," said linebacker Mark Simoneau on Sunday. "The rest was great. I feel refreshed and ready. I'm looking forward to starting practice again."
Atlanta started the season 4-0 before tripping up against Detroit on Sunday. Seattle blew a 17-point fourth quarter lead and lost to St. Louis in overtime on Sunday.
That means the Eagles are the only unblemished team in the NFC. Both the Jets and New England are undefeated in the AFC.
