Wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for his spectacular performance in Monday night's 27-17 win over the Washington Redskins.

Jackson scored two big touchdowns to propel the offense. He took an end around for a 67-yard touchdown run, the longest run of his career, for the game's opening points. He added a 57-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to put the Eagles ahead 27-7. Jackson got Redskins cornerback Carlos Rogers to bite on a double move and he was WIDE open for his fifth touchdown of the season.

Jackson's performance left his teammates in awe.

"You really can't even put it into words. A guy his size, the way he plays, the way he runs, you've seen it. He's a special player," running back LeSean McCoy said. "I have got to say that he is probably the best player I've played with or against - in college or pro so far. Just saying that right there means a lot."

It has been an amazing season thus far for the second-year player. A position label doesn't do Jackson justice because he's scored every which way possible this season. Jackson scored on an 85-yard punt return in the season opener against Carolina. For that, Jackson earned NFC Special Team Player of the Week honors. He followed that up with a 71-yard touchdown reception against the Saints. Against the Chiefs, Jackson had a 64-yard touchdown reception. Jackson also had over 100 yards receiving in both of those games.

Jackson earned the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month honors as he finished with a 22.2-yard punt return average to complement his touchdown against the Panthers.

By scoring a touchdown of 60 yards or more in each of the first three games this season, Jackson became the first player in NFL history to ever accomplish that feat. He is also just the fifth player in NFL history to record a rushing, receiving and punt return touchdown in each of his first two seasons. With two career punt return touchdowns, Jackson is already tied for first in franchise history.

Jackson has 21 receptions for 423 yards and three receiving touchdowns this season. His 20.1 yards per catch is second in the NFL to Dallas' Miles Austin. Jackson is third in the NFL with an average of 14.5 yards per punt return.
