Nov. 1st Giants Game Moved To 1 PM

October 13, 2009 | Last Updated: 10/13/09 10:55 AM ET | Comments (4)

The NFL has announced that kickoff of the November 1 game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field has been moved from 4:15 PM ET to 1:00 PM ET because of logistical concerns should the Philadelphia Phillies reach the World Series.

The game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field has been moved from 1:00 PM to 4:15 PM.

In the event that the Phillies make the World Series, Game 4 will be played at Citizens Bank Park the same night at 8:00 PM ET.

The NFL has announced the move prior to the start of Major League Baseball's National League Championship Series in order to give fans of all four teams as much notice as possible. The game-time changes are final.

mcampane, I live in atlanta and the game is not being televised. They rarely televise Eagles games here for some reason which sucks. I would recommend that you find a Taco Mac which is a sports bar here and catch it there.

Thanks. Yea that's my plan now... find a bar in the airport. My scheduled arrival time is 12:50. So as long as 1) the flight isn't significantly delayed, 2) luggage pickup doesn't take forever and 3) They are broadcasting the game in Atlanta, I should be ok, at worst miss some of the first quarter. Biggest game of the year on Nov 1st... go Eagles!!

Bad break. Lucky for you atlanta is playing on Monday Night that week, so Fox Atlanta won't be playing the local team. That gives you a good chance. I can't imagine that there is a bigger game going than Eagles vs. giants. Most markets not showing local games will likely have that game. Also, if you land at 1, I'm sure there will be a bar in the airport showing the game. The Atlanta airport is fairly large. Unless you're in a rush, you can probably settle in somewhere until halftime, and travel to your lodging then. Just a thought.
