A No-Go For Westbrook

CHICAGO -- Brian Westbrook did not suit up Sunday night as the Eagles took on the Bears at Soldier Field because of the ankle injury suffered the previous week against the Steelers.
Westbrook worked out on the field and left at around 5:01 PM local time. At that point, he met with trainers and team personnel and the decision was made to rest Westbrook.
Correll Buckhalter started in Westbrook's stead. Also out for the Eagles due to injuries were tight end L.J. Smith (back), guard Shawn Andrews (back), wide receiver Kevin Curtis (sports hernia) and defensive end Victor Abiamiri (wrist). Max Jean-Gilles started at right guard for Andrews and Brent Celek was in at tight end for Smith.
A.J. Feeley was the third quarterback. Also inactive for the Eagles were defensive end Bryan Smith and guard Mike McGlynn.
Injuries also impacted the Chicago Bears. Defensive tackle Tommie Harris say out Sunday's game with a knee injury. On the flip side, returner/receiver Devin Hester played after missing last week's game with a rib injury. The other inactives for the Bears included: quarterback Caleb Hanie, safety Craig Steltz, cornerback Marcus Hamilton, guard Dan Buenning, tackle Chris Williams, defensive tackle Matt Toeaina and wide receiver Earl Bennett.

wow, i cant believe dat ****, but we cant blame mcnabb for da loss cuz other offensive players didnt do a good job, lke on 3rd down reg. brown droppd an easy pass, mcnabb was da one dat got us down to da 4 yrd line, den da rest was buck nd hunt, wich hunt didnt hit the opn gap instead he went to da outside on 2nd dwn nd didnt do anythin. Im jus sayn that we based our offense around mcnabb but as soon as we get to goal line with the game on tha line, we should giv it to him cuz obviously running doesnt work on 1st thru 3rd down, so on 4th put the ball n mcnabbs hands let him sneek it on 4th(easy tuchdown, cuz if u watch da 4th dwn run watch the line nd mcnabb culd hav walkd in), buck nd hunt had there chances!! So if anythin the droppd passes for the key yardage costd us tha game, Examples booker on 2nd dwn-easy 1st, brown on 3rd, jackson fo da 1st so like i said mcnabb got them tha balls they jus culdnt grasp em!!

its to early to go to kolb man kolb is horrible compared to mcnabb......but in 2-3 years he will be ready to take the reins form mcnabb......we gotta stop dinking and dunking........GO DOWN THE FIELD MF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you kiddin me, i couldnt believe what i just saw. every one says mcnabb is great and mcnabb is back Mcnabb sucks, he has got to be one of the worst qb's in the league. every game he has that stupid look on his face. when will we go to kolb and move on. its time for mcnabb to go.

our defense has been solid its just our offense thats holding us back from being an elite team.........wtf your in the redzone cant you Fin punch in the ticket and get 6 pts???????????? wtf man we need to Fin evauluate our offense and make some blockbuster trades......we should trade for roy williams or boldin(if he recovers from his injury).......we have the D to stop people but we need our offense to Fin stand up and score.........

wtf wtf wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mcnabb shuda went for a QB sneak instead handing it off.....................im tired of these conservative plays.......get some balls and do something Fin amazing damnit!!!!!!
i cant wait till BWest gets back cuz our offense looks so stagnant out their.......we shouldve traded for Aquan Boldin or Roy Williams cuz no offense 2 reggie brown he isnt a #1...........

I am proud of our defense though, they made the appropriate adjustments to really shut down the bears... though they did put us in a hole with three quick TDS from kyle orton!!!(very unreflective of his skill level).. but they kept us in the game when we were missing FG's and running into the ground

I really love this team but they let me down too much man... i really hate to say this but im gonna put this loss on our pathetic red zone offense AS WELL as david akers... i know that 50 and 47 yards aren't easy... but he sucked last year past 40 too. he's no longer a legit kicker in this league anymore and he's not reliable

This game was bad... and it was a tough loss. BUT... we do have Curtis coming back soon, and Westbrook will be back next week. With everyone healthy we are a better team for sure. But... as far as this game goes, our red zone is still crap! Our running game is crap! Our kicker is crap!

We have one of the best QB's in the league and when we're inside the red zone we hand it off to 2nd and 3rd string RB's!.. Just dumb!

Acting a little nuts about game 4 in the first half, and getting bent out of shape about missing a 50 yarder equates to a bigger fan? That doesn't make a lot of sense. Couldn't care less if you are a bigger fan (whatever that means), but a play by play when there is live, national television, with such anger, is a little strange, no?

As far as what offense is better, why one team scores, etc, match ups play a big difference. The Bears came out flying, that happens. They then recover a fumble in short field, and get 6. Ok. The Steelers are really good, but the Eagles match up better with them, and the Steeler's offensive line sucks. The Eagles just need to settle in. It does concern me that running yards may be a little scarce, but still; cut out mistakes and they are fine.

Isn't tonight where we learn if Booker was worth the hype? He hasn't worked out on kick returns, but if he is so similar to Westbrook, shouldn't he do something tonight? And what's with this justin person? Seems a little nuts. They just need to settle in, adjust protection, and eliminate some mistakes. The Bears are tough, and we don't have b-West, so ugly or otherwise, a win is a good win tonight.
