Training Camp Autograph Policy

June 20, 2008 | Last Updated: 8/10/08 3:19 PM ET | Comments (17)

The Philadelphia Eagles are once again providing fans a chance for autographs from their favorite Eagles players at the team's official training camp.

Beginning Saturday, July 26, from 7 to 9 AM on designated autograph days, numbered tickets will be handed out at the fan services tent to all fans who would like the opportunity to receive an autograph at that day's session.

NOTE: NO ONE IS PERMITTED ON CAMPUS BEFORE 6:30 A.M.

At 9:30 AM, a randomly predetermined list of numbers will be posted at several locations around camp, specifying the ticket numbers selected to receive autographs. Those fans with tickets matching the numbers posted will be allowed in the autograph line for that day's session. All autograph sessions take place immediately following morning practice.

The random nature of this process will afford fans the same opportunity to get an autograph, eliminating any need to arrive earlier than 7 AM.

AUTOGRAPH SCHEDULE (*Note that it is subject to change):

  • Monday, August 11: Defensive line

yeah! I live in Brownsville, TX waaaaaaaaaay down the United States (look for it on google) and I would like to at least see the Eagles practice but I can't just yet. That is one of my dreams and when I grow up (I'm 18) that's what I'm going to do, go to a Game at Lincoln Financial (if it is still the Eagles' stadium)

The system sounds like it works, but either way, you guys are extremely lucky just to be there! Being a huge eagles fan stuck here in texas(cowboy country) i would give anything just to see the birds practice! It doesn't matter much about what the system they have established is like, as long as fans get there on the day of the position they want to see. Autograph or not, you still get to watch them practice!

this system is crap. I'm not really an eagles fan, but i'm 20 years old and i have been collecting autographs for a long time (i don't sell any of them). I've been up there at least the last 4 years and have not got one of those tickets once. I also when to chargers camp last year and they just sign along the fence after practice. Guys like LaDanion Tomlinson and Shawne Merrimen signed. I got Michael Turner, Buster Davis and a few other guys. You're better off at eagles camp just waiting along the fense. Better players sign there anyway.

I went to camp last year for the first years and found the autograph system works fine. My 11-year old nephew was able to get in for an autograph and I didn't. The players were quite accommodating, signing a second item he brought for his 8 year old sister. Since the afternoon was special teams, he waited at the fence while David Akers signed autographs. What I found to be distressing were the "adults" pushing and shoving the kids to get autographs. Akers was very gracious and signing autographs. What many fans forgot to say was "thank you" and just grabbed their items and walked away. Needless to say, my nephew was estactic that day!

I so agree with Philliesin1980. I am also a true Eagles fan and would not put my autographs on e-bay or any where else i want them for me. The ticket thing is not fair and you are very much out of line saying that we are not true Eagles fan's. Because i am a die hard Eagles fan that dose not let people talk crap on the Eagles and i don’t think it is fair for only people that get the ticket to be able to meet them. and i am one of them people that cant afford to go to a game and am in my glory just being able to see them but it has been a dream to meet them and get their autograph. so don’t you dare say i am not a die hard fan because of what i think about the tickets because i am a die hard fan no matter what you say.

listen buddy my son and i have been getting autographs down at training camp for the past 9 years and we have NEVER sold any of our autographs. so dont try saying that just because i dont like the current system and perfer the old system that im selling my stuff on ebay. if you dont believe me you can come to my house and see all of our autographs and dont try saying that im not a true eagles fan because i dont like the current ticket system because thats one of the dumbest things ive ever heard, being an eagles fan has nothing to do with getting autographs. everything i said is 100% true so im done responding to these stupid untrue comments

Well I said it before and I'll say it again the system is excellent.People who want to make money on ebay should not expect to get a good person at lehigh to make profit for themselves.Traing camp is a way for kids, old and young at heart, to get close to the birds. Some people cant afford to go to a game so they bring there kids up to lehigh and wait on the sidelines like every one else. So if all u want is to make a quick buck then by all means stay away from Lehigh. It's for the true EAGLES fans not business people.

It really makes me mad that all you people complaining say you are die hard eagle fans but if you were you would just be happy seeing them, yes we all would love to get an autograph, but get over it there are ALOT of fans and everyone needs a chance, I think the ticket idea is great!!! And to the people who say that they spend alot of money on eagle stuff, well noone told you to so you need to get a ticket like the rest of us and stop complaining!!!!!

Well i must really say the autograph system is excellent. It's set up for the true fan and not the averge person who leaves Lehigh and goes on Ebay to get rid of there auto's. My wife and I have been going to Leigh for the last five years and never gotten a ticket. However if you wait along the sidelines like everyone else you will get some sort of autograph. It's a great system and they should stick with it. My son has even gotten taken on the field from being on the sideline. So if people have a problem with the way it's done then bye all means stay home and you will not be dissapointed then.

You know I think it is crap with this whole ticket thing. I have waited forever to be able to meet the Eagles and even went to a Eagles store and bought a autograph football to get it signed. I am a die-hard fan that dose not let people talk crap about the Eagles. and this ticket thing is not right. I was getting so excited about meeting them. Have seen the filed from my car window since i was three. I had to drive by it alot to go to the children’s hospital to get my check ups form the surgery i had and my dream is and was to meet the Eagles and go to one of there games, and this whole ticket thing ruined that for me because come on out of all the of people that is going to be there what maybe a hand full will get in. This ticket thing is crap and not fair to use fans. Especially the die hard like myself.

You don't have to get a ticket to get an autograph. You can also just be one the sides of the field. The tickets are for getting into the tent to get the autographs.

This is really bad. What do they want the die hard fan to do? Wait outside of players homes or follow them on the way in to see if they stop for coffee? Oh or we could run up at a red light to ask for an autograph. Shouldn't be so hard to get one and picking tickets is supposed to be fair? What ever happened to camping out all night just to get the autograph of your favorite player. That is as fun as tailgating. Just one more thing management can take away from the Eagles magical experience. Shame on them!!!

I agree with the first comment. I drive 400 miles to see them play; I spend hundres of $ on Eagles "stuff" and I have to have a ticket to get an autograph... to have a CHANCE at an autograph?!? You'd think the multi-million paychecks would be grateful for fan interaction... *sheesh* I think I'll be selling my tickets and saving my gas this year.

I think the whole ticket bit to get an autograph is bull. They sould find time to sign autographs for who ever wants them. If it werent for the fans buying tickets and merchandise they wouldnt have a job. Thats the least they can do for there fans.

its a joke! the winning tickets are predetermined, the people who hand the tickets have 2 different stackes of tickets and the winners are either on the top or bottom of the stack and 75% of the people get the losing tickets. i know this to be true because i am at training camp almost everyday and have witnessed and personally experienced this. on more then one occasion my friends and i have gotten tickets from the same person and 2 of them are taken from the top and the other 2 are taken from the bottom and every single time only 2 of us won. so every fan is not afforded the same opportunity to get an autograph.
