The Eagles announced Friday that they have agreed to terms with rookie sixth-round picks Mike Gibson and Andy Studebaker on four-year deals.

Gibson, a guard out of Cal, was selected with the 184th pick overall. He was an All-Pac 10 honorable mention pick as a senior, and was an All-America pick at Solano Community College before transferring to Cal in 2006.

Studebaker, who played defensive end at Division III Wheaton College, has converted to linebacker with the Eagles. He's noteworthy as the player the Eagles chose with the 203rd selection, partly after being impressed with his highlight tape on YouTube. He registered 30 sacks in his career at Wheaton, which included an All-America nod. He's the first Wheaton player ever picked in the NFL Draft.

The Eagles now have four of their 10 draft picks in the fold.

FRONT OFFICE MOVES

The Eagles named Jeremy Snyder as a pro scout and Mike Miller as college scouting coordinator on Friday.

Snyder, 29, has spent the last four years as a football operations assistant with the Chicago Bears.

Miller, 25, is entering his third season with the Eagles. He's been promoted every year, as a pro personnel assistant in 2006 and college scouting assistant in 2007. He also scouts colleges in the Midwest.

As Andy's Great Uncle, I have watched this kid grow up. He loves football and I am sure he will do his very best to excel and become an outstanding linebacker or whatever position the Eagles want him to play.

I have to agree with you guys, too. Studebaker has a serious fire inside him. Have you seen his YouTube video? I know that those plays are against Div II foes, but his upside is impressive.

I agree. I really hope Studebaker and Joe Mays make the team, as I think with some experience they could become real players.
