Shortly after filling their coffers with even more draft picks by trading their first-round pick to Carolina, the Eagles moved one of their own picks to the Miami Dolphins for running back Lorenzo Booker.
Philadelphia sent Miami a fourth-round pick – the 115th selection overall – for the former Florida State tailback. Booker, a third-round pick in 2007, was watching the draft from his home, and said that he never expected to be a part of it for a second time.

"I was just laughing about that," he said. "This is not even my draft and here I am, on the phone again. It's kind of funny when you think about it."
During his rookie season in Miami, Booker started one game and rushed for 125 yards on 28 carries. He also caught 28 passes for 127 yards. Booker said that he prides himself on being a threat in the passing game, and that he hopes to have a similar impact on the aerial attack in Philadelphia.
"Catching passes is definitely a strength of mine," he said. "I love catching the ball as much as I love running with it. Again, I got a chance to play a lot towards the end of the year, particularly catching the ball at first, and that was one of the things I excelled in."
Booker admitted that he had hoped to be able to make a more instant impact in the NFL after a stellar career with the Seminoles. He was a four-year letterman at Florida State and he finished his career ranked seventh on the school's all-time rushing list with 2,389 yards and he scored 15 touchdowns. He does not have any return experience.
While at Florida State, Booker had to share time with New York Jets' tailback Leon Washington and while in Miami he split time with Ronnie Brown and Jessie Chatman. Shortly after the trade he said he realized he will be stepping into an equally crowded backfield in Philadelphia.
"It's a spread offense and again, I was looking at (RB Brian) Westbrook's numbers from last season. Anytime you can get a chance to play in an offense like that, you have to be excited."
