WHAT THE EAGLES ARE SAYING ABOUT ROMO:
"He's more consistent than he was last year ... I think he's done a nice job. He's a mobile quarterback and he is an accurate quarterback, both in the pocket and on the move. It looks like he has good leadership ability ... He's a smart guy and he's a good athlete. He has a couple good people around him. There are some pretty good players around him."
- Head coach Andy Reid
"He's much more calm in the pocket, he sees things better, and that just comes from experience. The guy's been in the NFL for a couple of years now playing. You see a guy that sees things downfield reading coverages, getting rid of the ball a lot quicker, not taking sacks. (Those are) the biggest differences ... The thing about him is, he comes back and makes plays after he (makes mistakes). That's the sign of a good quarterback. When you throw an interception and it doesn't bother you, and you can come back and throw a touchdown pass to win the game, that's the sign of a good quarterback ... Romo has got the ability to get outside. To me he's a lot like Jeff Garcia. He doesn't really take off outside, but he's got a feel for the game and he sees things down field, just like Jeff does and just avoids trouble. So, it's that different."
- Defensive coordinator Jim Johnson
"Experienced. He's taken the starting role and has shown what he can do. He had the opportunity to show what he could do last year, now it's coming out and you can see how different a quarterback he is."
- Defensive end Trent Cole
"He's one of those guys who doesn't get rattled too easy. He'll have a big play or a bad play and he'll shrug it off and keep going. He's always got that smile on his face. He's a good quarterback, I'm not going to take that away from him, but we're going to try and get to him a little bit."
- Defensive end Darren Howard
"It just seems like he's keeping his poise. He's not just trying to get rid of the football, he's trying to find receivers and get the ball to them. He's doing a good job over there of getting his receivers the rock."
- Defensive tackle Mike Patterson
