"Obviously I'm disappointed that we lost to Green Bay, but I think we got off to a good start as a defense. We did a lot of things well. As a matter of fact, we accomplished all of our team goals defensively. In our group room, we set goals every week and there are not too many times that you accomplish each and every last one of them.
"There is an extra sense of urgency this week just because we didn't win that first game. Plus we're coming back home. You want to win every game that you can, but you especially want to win every game that you can at home. You've got magnitude of it. Playing against a division opponent on Monday Night Football. What else do you need?
"The game will be my first ever on Monday Night Football. It's something that I don't even like talking about, but since it's the first time, I want it to be the best game ever. There's going to be a lot of excitement. I'm ready to go out and put on a great show. You know that when you play on Monday Night Football that everybody is watching. Everybody. Monday night is something that I've always wanted ever since the day I stepped into the league. With the talent that we have around, it makes it that much more exciting.
"On top of that, my friend London Fletcher is playing in Washington now. We never played on Monday night in Buffalo so Fletch hasn't played on Monday Night Football since he was with the Rams. I talked to him the other day. I guess it was two days ago. I told him he's not my friend anymore this week, but it's all fun.
"When we were in Buffalo together, Fletch was my ace in the hole. He and I developed a very close bond with each other, and he was my best friend on that team. He's a great player and he's blessed with a lot of athletic ability. He's just a smart guy, who knows where the play is going to go, before the ball is even snapped. That's why he's such an asset to a team. He can sit everybody down and kind of be like another defensive coordinator, and if you get beat on one kind of play, he'll make sure it's fixed before you get beat again.
"The media keeps asking me if this will be my first Monday night game, and I tell them that I've seen a lot of them. Trust me, I'm ready for Monday night."
