2009 NFL Draft

The Eagles currently have 12 picks in the 2009 NFL Draft, which will be held April 25-26 in New York City. The Eagles own each of their draft picks in all seven rounds. They also have an extra first-round pick from Carolina, which was acquired in a 2008 draft day trade, an extra fifth-round pick from Cleveland, also acquired in a 2008 draft day trade, an extra fifth-round pick from the New York Jets which was a part of the Lito Sheppard trade, an extra fifth-round pick from New England which was part of the Greg Lewis deal and an extra sixth-round pick from Minnesota, acquired for Kelly Holcomb in 2007. The Eagles will select at No. 21 overall and 28 overall in the first round, No. 53 overall in the second round and No. 85 overall in the third round. The Eagles were not awarded any additional compensatory draft picks for the loss of free agents in 2008.
