Brian Westbrook had yet another record performance, but the Eagles simply did not have enough answers for the explosive Dallas offense.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo completed 20 of 25 passes for 324 yards and three touchdowns as the Cowboys cruised to a 38-17 win over the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. Former Eagle Terrell Owens was the beneficiary of half of those completions as he had 10 receptions for 174 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Westbrook tied the franchise's single-game receptions record with 14, a mark set by Don Looney in 1940. All told, Westbrook finished with 155 yards from scrimmage on 30 touches. Westbrook's 3-yard touchdown run in the first quarter put Philadelphia on the board after Dallas cashed in on an early turnover. Donovan McNabb fumbled when he was stripped by Marcus Spears on the first play from scrimmage. Dallas running back Julius Jones capitalized on the early turnover with a 2-yard touchdown run.

The Eagles failed to reach Romo for a sack; but looking for a spark they came up with one in the second quarter. Trailing 14-7, Lito Sheppard collected his first interception of the season when he stepped in front of a pass intended for wide receiver Patrick Crayton. However, three plays later McNabb was picked off when he tried to force a pass to wide receiver Hank Baskett. Free safety Ken Hamlin's interception set up Marion Barber's 5-yard touchdown run to give the Cowboys a 21-7 lead at the half.

Romo and Co. continued to steamroll in the second half as Owens scored on a 45-yard touchdown in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

McNabb finished 27-of-46 for 264 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Brian Dawkins moved into third place on the Eagles' all-time list with his 160th regular season game, trailing only Harold Carmichael (180) and Chuck Bednarik (169).

"They capitalized on the mistakes that we made. Against a good football team you can't make mistakes, and we did that today. Almost every time we made a mistake, they capitalized on it."
- FS Brian Dawkins

Terrell Owens went 45-yards on the opening drive of the second half. Tony Romo saw Brian Dawkins come on a blitz and floated the ball over Jevon Kearse to Owens. Lito Sheppard couldn't make the tackle and, since Dawkins mistakenly blitzed, there was no safety help and Owens waltzed in to put Dallas ahead, 28-7.
