Go Green

Renewable Energy

  • 100% of the Eagles operations are powered by the sun and wind. This means the Eagles’ electricity needs come from two non-polluting, renewable energy sources and the organization is effectively “off the grid.”
  • The environmental benefit of the green energy the Eagles generated and purchased in 2010 is equivalent to:
    • Removing 2,189 cars from the road for a year.
    • The annual amount CO2 sequestered by 2,380 acres of forest
    • Offsetting the CO2 emissions created by the annual electricity use of 1,392 homes.
    • Offsetting the CO2 emissions created by using 1,251,604 gallons of gasoline
  • Solar panels at the Eagles corporate headquarters and training facility (NovaCare Complex) are only a small part of the team’s green energy program, but produce enough energy from the sun to power more than 400 homes for one day.
