August 17, 2007 - Eagles vs. Panthers

Sergeant Robert Walls

Sergeant Robert Walls lives in Philadelphia and is a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard serving in Troop A, 1st Squadron, 104th Cavalry Regiment as well as a Philadelphia Police Officer serving in the SWAT division.  SGT Walls is married with two children, a graduate of Father Judge High School and a life-long-Eagles fan.  He was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a member of the security patrols for the Forward Operating Bases in and around Ramadi during a particularly deadly period from January 2005 to June 2006.  According to his supervisor he is an outstanding soldier that anyone would be lucky to have next to them in combat.

 

August 30, 2007 - Eagles vs. Jets

Petty Officer Kristin Fitzsimmons

Petty Officer Fitzsimmons lives in Upper Chichester and is an active duty member of the United States Navy currently serving as the public affairs officer for Navy Recruiting District Philadelphia.  Petty Officer Fitzsimmons' family lives in southeasten Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, is a graduate of Chichester High School  and has been an Eagles fan since she was a little girl watching the Eagles with her gramdmom Edie.  She was deployed aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington and as an individual augement to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, stationed at the Pentagon and has also deployed in support of humanitarian assistance efforts to the Gulf Coast after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  According to her supervisor who she is a tremendous sailor, who is dedicated to her job, her sailors and has always put service before self.

 

September 17, 2007 - Eagles vs. Redskins

Seaman Ashley Climaldi

Seaman Ashley Climaldi is a native of Philadelphia, a HUGE Eagles fan, and a fully qualified Boat Crew member, Boarding Team member and Emergency Medical Technician assigned to the United States Coast Guard in Cape May, NJ.  In addition to enforcing maritime laws, she also performs Search and Rescue and Homeland Security missions.  In two separate incidents in June 2007, Seaman Climaldi saved two individuals from certain death.  Upon arriving at the scene of a capsized boat, she discovered the operator unresponsive and not breathing.  Diligently applying CPR and lifesaving techniques, she revived him and stabilized his heart.  Two days later, upon becoming aware of a small child in serious distress choking in a restaurant, Seaman Climadi took charge of the situation and applied the Heimlich maneuver to dislodge the food.



September 23, 2007 - Eagles vs. Lions

Sergeant Joseph Vassalloalt

Sergeant Joseph Vassallo hails from Metuchen, NJ and enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2004.  A standout leader who graduated first in his Field Artillery Cannon Crewman Basic course, he has shown extraordinary versatility in his deployment to Iraq.  From September 2006 to April 2007, Sgt Vassallo served as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Fallujah Detention Facility's "Master Control" where he used his knowledge of middle eastern culture to improve daily procedures.  He quickly acquired proficiency in the Iraqi dialect and developed a procedure for training his fellow Marines in commonly-used terms and phrases.  In addition to his service in the Marine Corps, he is a full-time student at Rutgers University where he is double-majoring in Politcal Science and Criminal Justice. 



October 21, 2007 - Eagles vs. Bears

Sergeant First Class Nelson Long   

 Sergeant First Class Nelson Long served in Desert Strorm with the Marine Corps before transferring to the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.  He returned in September from another tour in in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM where he volunteered for convoy security missions, one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in Iraq. While on a convoy mission escorting an explosive ordnance disposal team the vehicle immediately behind his was struck by a large IED, instantly killing the squad leader; SFC Long dismounted his vehicle, took decisive action to approach the disabled and burning vehicle, and assisted in the rescue of three soldiers who experienced the loss of a leg, a broken leg and a broken back before assuming command of the squad and returning it safely to camp.  His military awards include the Bronze Star with 'V" device.


November 4, 2007alt - Eagles vs. Cowboys

Senior Airman Alicia Trudeau

Senior Airman Alicia Trudeau is an In-Flight Refueling Journeyman for the 514th Air Mobility Wing of McGuire Air Force Base.  She performs in-flight refueling operations for Air Force aircraft, including on over 100 combat missions, in support of overseas and domestic military operations such as Operations NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM AND IRAQI FREEDOM. An Air Force Reservist, she volunteered to perform an incredible 308 duty days during calendar year 2006 and was lauded for her performance while refueling an F-15 using abnormal procedures in a combat situation. She is also a summa cum laude graduate of Salve Regina University, where she was a nominee for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship.  She's your Hometown Hero, Senior  Airman Alicia Trudeau!

 



November 18, 2007alt - Eagles vs. Dolphins

Chief Petty Officer Bobbi J. Davis

Chief Petty Officer Bobbi J. Davis is an Air Traffic Control Facility Training Branch Chief and Facility Watch Supervisor in the US Navy assigned to Willow Grove Joint Reserve Base. She recently returned from volunteer service in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM attached to Marine Air Traffic Control Squadron One in Al Asad, Iraq, where she provided radar services to Navy, Marine, Air Force and Army aircraft in support of the Global War on Terror. Prior to deployment, she was hand-picked to lead, manage and mentor all 44 Sailors in the ATC Training Division at Willow Grove. She is recognized as the number top air traffic controller in her command, and earned recognition as a Fleet Marine Force Enlisted Warfare Specialist.   She's your Hometown Hero, Chief Petty Officer Bobbi Davis!

 

 

December 2, 2007 - Eagles vs. Seahawksalt

Lieutenant Colonel Bradford Everman    

Lieutenant Colonel Bradford Everman is an F-16 pilot serving as the Chief of Weapons and Tactics with the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard.  He has served three tours of duty in support of  Operation Iraqi Freedom.  His efforts led to the destruction of several enemy targets, including active insurgent mortar positions-- one of which was taken out less than eight minutes after having fired upon a US installation.  Prior to that, he served three tours patrolling No-Fly Zones over northern and southern Iraq and is currently a key contributor to Operation Noble Eagle defending homeland airspace.  A staunch community supporter who volunteers with a non-profit organization to provide opportunities for the mentally-disabled and has founded an organization to provide pilots as role models for disadvantaged youth in Eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey -- he's your Hometown Hero, Lt Col Bradford Everman!


December 11, 2007 - Eagles vs. Giantsalt

Petty Officer Wilmer Stubbe

Petty Officer Wilmer Stubbe is assigned to Sector Delaware Bay United States Coast Guard in Philadelphia as a Machinery Technician Second Class and is frequently called upon to render aid to vessels and individuals in distress.  In July of 2007, he responded to a search and rescue call, aiding two women who were stranded in the Delaware River after their vessel capsized; and in August, he led his boat crew in response to a vessel that struck a buoy in the Delaware River. PO Stubbe's crew took the boat in tow and immediately orchestrated the medical treatment and evacuation with injuries ranging from concussions to broken bones.  He's your Hometown Hero -- Petty Officer Wilmer Stubbe!

 


December 30, 2007 - Eagles vs. Billsalt

Sergeant Pascual Duque

Sgt Pascual Duque enlisted in the Marine Corps in May of 2000 and is currently assigned as a Marine Corps Recruiter in the Philadelphia area.  Sgt Duque served in Iraq from Jan through July 2006 as the Supply Chief for Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at Al Asad Air Base.In recognition of our Hometown Heroes, Dietz and Watson is donating $1,000 to the USO. Congratulations to, Sergeant Pascual Dugue, Your Dietz & Watson Hometown Hero!
