Dorenbos Brings a Little Magic to Paxon Hollow Middle School Eagles Long Snapper, Jon Dorenbos, visited Paxon Hollow Middle School as part of the At the Pep Rally, Dorenbos, or ""Magic"" as his Eagles teammates like to call him, selected volunteers from the crowd to participate in his tricks. He also led a selected group of students in What Moves U-designed exercises by demonstrating proper stretching techniques and facilitating one of the many activities included in the What Moves U? activation kit. Finally, students were asked to submit essays on how they stay healthy and active. Dorenbos randomly selected some of the essays – giving the winners the opportunity to meet him and win Eagles paraphernalia. Charismatic and entertaining, Dorenbos engaged all the students at the pep rally – not just the ones participating in the stretching exercises – through his sense of humor and his contagious energy. This visit was one of the many Tuesday community visits Eagles' players make during the season. Tuesday serves as the traditional day off for most NFL players, however many Eagles players use this part of their day to go out and make a positive impact on our community. The What Moves U? curriculum, developed by the NFL and the American Heart Association, promotes healthy lifestyles by incorporating physical activity into the classroom through Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies classes.
