Eagles Spread Some Holiday Cheer
Eagles players took a break from practice and preparation for their upcoming game to spread some holiday cheer at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Correll Buckhalter, Scott Young, and Thomas Tapeh, adorned with their Eagles Santa hats, visited the hospital on Friday. The children and their families got the opportunity to individually meet the players and choose a present from the array of gifts donated by the Eagles. Those who were not awaiting the opportunity to meet the players spent time with the Eagles mascot, SWOOP, and some cheerleaders.
"It's tough to see these kids in here. They would rather be home with their friends and family, but it's nice that we come in and can put a smile on their faces. It's a great opportunity" - Scott Young.
This visit was one of the many community visits Eagles' players make during the season. Tuesday serves as the traditional day off for most NFL players, yet these players visited the hospital on a Friday after their practice was over. These Eagles players used this part of their day to go out and make a positive impact on our community.
