Experience: 4 Profession: K-8 Health and Physical Education Teacher College: College of New Jersey, Class of 2006! Degree: Health and Exercise Science |
Favorite current Eagles player:
Hank Baskett. I think he is underrated as a receiver, plus he's fast!
If you played football, what position would you want to play:
I would be best as a running back. I'm a sprinter and I'm small so I can get through a crowd.
When did you realize you wanted to be an Eagles Cheerleader:
When I was a little girl my dad and I used to watch the Eagles games together and he used to always say to me, "Someday you'll be one of those girls!" I always had the idea in the back of my mind. While I was usually considered an athlete in high school and college, I had a dance and cheerleading background as well. When I finished my athletic career in college, I decided to try out and luckily I made the squad!
If you could have a super power, what would you want to have and why:
I would love to have the ability to heal any injury or sickness - to myself or others!
Most interesting experience you have had as an Eagles Cheerleader:
Last year I had the opportunity to travel to Iraq and Kuwait for a goodwill tour with five of my teammates. We visited hundreds of servicemen and women at various military bases. While it was interesting to stay in the barracks and traveling on black hawk helicopters, it was a life changing experience being able to see firsthand the sacrifices that they are making to protect our freedom and safety. There were a few times that sandstorms grounded us for a few days at the bases. It really gave us time to talk at length with the members of the military stationed there. This was such an amazing experience- I would do this again in a heartbeat.
Worst pickup line you have ever heard:
Guy says, "Look into my eyes... can you tell me why they're so beautiful?" Girl says, "Why?" Guy says, "It's because they are reflecting something beautiful - you!"
What is your favorite thing about Philadelphia:
I love the city's history that meets today's culture; from the cobble stone streets to the trendy nightlife. Philadelphia keeps its history alive!
If you could go on vacation anywhere, where would you go:
It is a tossup between a Mediterranean or an Australian Cruise.
Something most people don't know about you:
I love snorkeling and swimming in the ocean but I'm very afraid of fish - even the small ones!
Biggest pet peeve:
When people don't come through for you or follow through with their own responsibilities.
Greatest accomplishment in your life thus far:
Graduating college with a degree in Health and Exercise Science which lead me to a job in teaching Health and Physical Education less than a year out of college.
Three words that describe you:
Energetic, Focused, Enthusiastic
Most embarrassing moment:
When I was eight, I was in a solo acrobatic dance competition. I did so many jumps, turns, and flips that I ended up getting "sick" at the very end of my dance in front of hundreds of people. I guess the judges felt bad because I ended up getting a special award for my perseverance at the end of the competition!
What do you do when you have free time:
It's rare that I allow myself to have free time but when I do I like to go to the beach or if it's cold weather, watch a good romantic comedy!
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be:
Being a health and physical education teacher, I would love to sit down with Michelle Obama and discuss her ""Let's Move"" program which affords parents the support they need, provides healthier food in schools, helps our kids to be more physically active, and makes healthy, affordable food available in every part of our country.
